Last week I got a terrific response from my post Triathlon is not a diet. It was heartening to hear from athletes who no longer race to be skinny. They race for health and the sport of it. I also heard from athletes, like myself, who find themselves on a slippery slope – is the goal to be healthy and perform well in a race or is it really about chasing that body image we can’t seem to shake in our head?
If you are prepping for races this summer (running races, triathlons/duathlons, cycling races, swimming events, etc) I would like to share your perspective on your training approach on this community blog. Submit a post on any of the following training topics – are you training
- for health?
- for the sport of it?
- for weight management?
- all of the above?
- or….?
Please submit your story for submission!
